My Story
Howdy!
I am Zhi Yong or ZY for short.
As a youth trying to find his place in the world, I understand mental struggles very well. Fortunately, I had the support of mentors along the way who showed me how to stand proudly on my own two feet.
Aspiring to be like them, I took an interest in counselling others. But I felt out of my depth; often being unable to provide satisfactory answers. After all, mental health is a topic that is hardly touched on. To find those answers, I read widely and diversified my life experiences.
Now, older and wiser, I have found some of those answers. And I thought why not share these insights with everyone? That was how I started writing about mental health and mindsets, serving as a guest blogger on various personal development sites to spread the word.
Mental health remains a touchy topic in today’s world and thus is relatively unexplored. My blog vitaMIND strives to provide insights on how you can care for your own mental health. I do not have all the answers. But what I do know it that we will eventually find it, together.
